The Feast of Tabernacles was the most popular of all the feasts and had both a nationalistic and religious element to it. God had brought them through wilderness and would one day dwell with them permanently, AND God continued to meet their daily needs by providing their harvest for them. Because of the nature and festivity of this feast, Jesus’ brothers had said “show yourself to the world!” This morning Jesus will explain that God the Father’s timeframe and strategy were different. There were other things that needed to be said and done, before Jesus would be publicly presented to the nation!
