How Will My Money Be Used?

The money that is given goes to support our facilities operation costs, to remunerate those men who “labor in the word and doctrine” (1 Thessalonians 5:12, 1 Timothy 5:17), and to support the Church’s mission of making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20) who can then make other disciple-makers (2 Timothy 2:2) both locally and globally.

Our Giving Philosophy

Giving is an important part of the Christian life, but like everything in our Christian life, it should be done only on the basis of grace through faith, from a proper motivation of love, and is not a requirement to be saved or to be a Christian.

Whereas God required a “tithe” from His chosen nation, Israel, during the dispensation of law, God merely invites His people (i.e. the Church) to give as they have been blessed, and as they are mindfully motivated by the Spirit of God to give during the dispensation of grace.  Faith is a key component of grace giving, because the believer is trusting God to provide for them, while at the same time giving away some of their hard-earned money.

The concept of giving is communicated in such New Testament passages such as 2 Corinthians 8:1-12, and 9:6-8, and provides the basis and encouragement for giving in the local church.

Ultimately, giving is done as unto the Lord and in recognition of God’s high value for His local church.
