A Wake Up Call - John 11:11-22

Today, Pastor John continues in John 11 with the sermon on Lazarus. Jesus had received a message that one of his good friends from a family He loved was deathly ill. His response was “different” to say the least, because instead of rushing to their side, He delayed His return to the family for two days. Now, He begins His journey to Bethany with the express purpose of “waking Lazarus up,” which is a euphemism for raising Him from the dead. Others will be awakened as well from their spiritual slumber.
