Pointless Patterns in Life | Ecclesiastes 1:1-7 | Week 2

As we begin chapter 1 of Ecclesiastes this morning, Solomon begins to strategically disillusion each one of us from the things of this world. In today’s section, we will see the apparent transitory nature of our lives in comparison to the created world around us. Do our lives have lasting meaning and purpose OR are they just meaningless? In comparison to the steady and predictable patterns of nature, it is hard to tell from a simply human perspective. The answer of course is that our lives do have meaning, and can have lasting value (i.e., profit) but our lives must find their meaning and purpose in the ONE who establishes the orderly creation we can observe.
